Here's the story from WTOP on what women have to say about why they use a bike--or don't-- at the National Bike Summit .
I arrived just as the forum was breaking up this week. You'll hear from 3 presenters and two women I caught up with on the streets of DC as they commuted from work and ran errands in their neighborhoods.
Terrific story Kate-thanks for doing it. I listen to WTOP all the time at home and at work, yet I didn't catch this on the air. WTOP should put it back in rotation!
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks so much CityMom. I love doing these stories--just kind of letting people connect. It's the best part of my job. I'll tell the bosses that we have a dedicated listener who made this request: and for the record, we've never met and I've never promised you cash or other emoluments.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I'm thrilled you like the story. I'm curious about your WTOP listening habit: feel free to drop me a line at kryan@wtop.com. In radio, we think we have a good idea of who the 'typical' listener is, but we're not always right. And we're always looking for ways to do it better.
Oh, and nice blog! Trust me, I know what a challenge is is to keep one running along with everything else in life (this blog is my own baby, apart from my work at WTOP) but I really enjoyed reading yours.
